Constructed around 27mm x 45mm framing and 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding this shed also has six fixed styrene windows with crosses a single split barn style door and oriented strand board (OSB) solid sheets on the floor and roof.
The gambrel roof is symmetrically two-sided with two slopes on each side. The upper slope is positioned at a shallow angle while the lower slope is steep. This design provides the advantages of a sloped roof while maximising headroom on the shed’s upper level for the additional storey.
Shiplap is a basic style of overlapping siding board and this overlapping pattern creates a weather-resistant shell around the building. The tight fitting nature of the tongue and groove joints are more likely to provide a long-lasting seal against rain snow and ice; although once your playhouse has been installed you should continue to maintain it with a good quality preservative every year or two in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. This will ensure that your playhouse will last for many years.
