Manufactured from Ipe, which is a large tropical hardwood tree that grows abundantly and is known for its natural strength and durability. All timber used in the production of this flooring system comes from certified resources, the entire manufacturing process is controlled by the Bolivian Government’s Sustainable Forestry Development Programme.
The tiles have inbuilt tabs on all sides which lock securely to the adjacent tiles so they are held firmly in place. These tiles are perfect for patios, walkways, balconies, roof terraces, porches and entrance way. The decking tiles have an installed height of 3cm, which means they can be installed where there is little clearance between door openings and existing patio or surface. However for use on stairs or open edged balconies screw securely to the floor or fix with a suitable adhesive that is flexible and water-resistant. The Eco Deck tiles have a specially designed mesh base, which allows any water to drain away quickly and freely.
Eco Decking tiles only require an occasional clean with warm soapy water and brush. Over time the timber tiles will fade and change colour. To prevent the wood from changing colour, use a good quality oil treatment with an effective UV filter. The hardwoods used in theses tiles have been specifically selected to be naturally splinter-free and resistant to, all weather conditions, moulds, insects and decay without the use of chemicals.
